Last year Lilyfield sales included a two-bedroom semi at 25 The Boulevarde, sold at auction for $365,000; a three- bedroom cottage at 7 Cecily Street, sold at auction for $410,000; and a house at 187 Lilyfield Road set on 184 square metres, sold for $315,000.
Lilyfield house sales last year reached $31.1 million. The total in 1997 was $38.2 million.
The 59 auctions last year had a clearance rate of 54 per cent, for a total of $11.3 million and average of $391,000. The 51 in 1997 had a 88 per cent clearance rate and made $16.5 million (average $367,000), while the 50 in 1996 had a 68 per cent clearance rate and made $9 million ($264,000).
The 58 private treaty sales last year totalled $19.7 million (average $340,000). The 69 in 1997 made $21.7 million ($314,000).
